Vol. 3 No. 1 - The Last Dispensation, 1896 (PDF) Vol. 3 No. 1 - The Last Dispensation, 1896 (PDF)
by Willard J. Smith
44 pages. Brother Smith states, "…I desire to impress upon your mind the fact that he changes not; hence always acts just like himself, and if we may ascertain from the history of his dealings with the children of men in the past, how, and by what means he has ever performed any work he has ever accomplished, we will learn something as to the manner of his work in performing the marvelous and wonderful work spoken of in our text."

Vol. 3 No. 4 - Sign Seekers, 1896 (PDF) Vol. 3 No. 4 - Sign Seekers, 1896 (PDF)
by Isaac M. Smith
32 pages. Tract by I. M. Smith. He states, "On the day of Pentecost there was a miraculous display of God's power, causing unlearned Galileans to speak in languages they had never learned, but the only effect it seems to have had upon the multitude of unbelievers, was to cause them to marvel, some even going so far as to accuse them of being drunken. But while they stood in this bewildered, confused state of mind, Peter stood up and preached to them the gospel of Christ, the word of truth, and "when they heard these things they were pricked in their hearts," (Acts 2: 3 7), and began to inquire what they should do. Hence, you see that while a miraculous display of power may beget any amount of wonder and astonishment, it takes the word of truth to beget a gospel faith in the heart of man."
Vol. 3 No. 4 Extra B - Jesus From The Cradle To The Grave, 1896 (PDF) Vol. 3 No. 4 Extra B - Jesus From The Cradle To The Grave, 1896 (PDF)
by R. C. Evans
36 page tract by R. C. Evans of the RLDS Church. Discusses the characteristics of Jesus Christ. "Now, this is the life of Christ from the cradle to the grave. Time will not allow us to enlarge upon it further, but suffice it to say that Jesus Christ has proved the possibilities of humanity. He was our pattern, our guide; and though he was God manifest in the flesh, yet in his humiliation his judgment was taken away, and not until he arose did he enjoy the glory that he had with the Father before the world was."
Vol. 4 No. 1 Extra A - Modern Knowledge Of The Antiquities Of America, 1897 (PDF) Vol. 4 No. 1 Extra A - Modern Knowledge Of The Antiquities Of America, 1897 (PDF)
by Henry A. Stebbins
38 pages. Discusses claims about ancient civilizations in America and their relation to the Book of Mormon. Brother Stebbins states, "…the Book of Mormon is a history of God's dealings with a certain portion of the Hebrew race, an account of the wanderings and experiences of a colony which came to America before the Babylonish captivity. For the Lord had declared by Moses that he would yet scatter Israel 'from the one end of the earth even unto the other.' (Deut. 28: 64.)"
Vol. 4 No. 2 Extra A - The Restoration Of Israel Vol. 4 No. 2 Extra A - The Restoration Of Israel, 1897 (PDF)
by S. W. L. Scott
50 page pamphlet. Brother Scott states, "So I say again the evidences direct and indirect, that cluster around the restoration of the gospel is connected with the restoration of the house of Israel, redeeming them from their long bondage state and inaugurating them into the commonwealth that God purposes to inaugurate them in to and make them the chief of all the kingdoms of the world, and this all is involved in the great work in which you and I are engaged…I repeat, in conclusion, that it seems to me that the only safety that is unavoidable to this crisis, is our adoption in to the family of Abraham by the restoration of the gospel, and ultimately enjoy the blessings of God when that people shall have passed their troubles, and when Christ reigns from the rivers to the ends of the earth, when he whispers peace to the captives and opens the prison doors to them that are bound and lets the captives go free."

by J. W. Wight

Vol. 6 No. 3 - Save Yourselves, 1899 (PDF) Vol. 6 No. 3 - Save Yourselves, 1899 (PDF)
by Isaac M. Smith
40 pages. Discusses salvation. "I know it is a common idea, or at least it is one that is frequently taught, that there is nothing for man to do, so far as the salvation of his soul is concerned, only to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ…but while we believe that faith is absolutely necessary, and that it is impossible to please God without it, we also believe that there are certain works required on the part of men, which are just as essential, just as necessary to his salvation, as it is that he believe. Now, if you take the position that men are saved by faith alone, then it seems to me that you would have to admit that Satan himself will be saved, because the Apostle James has said: 'Thou believes that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe, and tremble' So you see if you have nothing only faith to recommend you to God, you have the same that they have."
Vol. 8 No. 1 Extra A - Is Water Baptism Essential To Salvation?, 1901 (PDF) Vol. 8 No. 1 Extra A - Is Water Baptism Essential To Salvation?, 1901 (PDF)
by Joseph Luff
24 page tract on the necessity of water baptism for salvation. Brother Luff states, "To us, this question sounds about the same as would the inquiry, 'Is faith in God necessary?' We cannot understand why it should be asked by persons who have read the Bible carefully for themselves; but it is being asked, and that, too, by honest and intelligent persons. Hence we venture a very plain answer, and a few plain reasons for that answer. We shall use the Bible in so doing, believing that God's word will be taken in preference to ours. Our answer is, 'Yes, water baptism is essential to salvation.'"
Vol. 8 No. 2 - Objections Examined, 1901 (PDF) Vol. 8 No. 2 - Objections Examined, 1901 (PDF)
by Joseph Smith III
48 pages. Sermon by President Joseph Smith III of the RLDS Church, delivered on September 2, 1900. He makes a statement regarding Joseph Smith, Jr (his father) seeing an angel in the grove during the first vision experience, "I may be pardoned this morning if my discourse be somewhat discursive, and I review, as rapidly as I may, some of the things which have been done in the spiritual realm of controversy since this church was organized April 6, 1830. In the first place the statement made by the angel to him who was chosen as the earthly instrument by which the church should be represented abroad, and should find its organization, was that the declarations of belief, or the creeds, were an abomination in God's sight."
Vol. 9 No. 1 - Miracles Modern Revelation Sustained, 1902 (PDF) Vol. 9 No. 1 - Miracles Modern Revelation Sustained, 1902 (PDF)
by Alvin Knisley
38 page pamphlet. "That Christ's principal object in performing miracles was not for unbelievers is evident from the fact that he always required faith on the part of the recipient of the cure. Further, the fact that he was so secretive about his miracles in trying to keep it from being spread abroad in many instances, affords strong evidence that they were designed only for believers or for his disciples."
Vol. 9 No. 1 Extra A - Utah Mormons Repudiate Joseph Smith, The Prophet, 1902 (PDF) Vol. 9 No. 1 Extra A - Utah Mormons Repudiate Joseph Smith, The Prophet, 1902 (PDF)
by Amante Luce
40 pages. "Reader, are you a member of the Utah Mormon church? If so, read this pamphlet. It is written especially for your benefit. You believe Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Therefore, let us compare the most important doctrine of the Utah church with his revelations, as published in your own edition of the Doctrine and Covenants. To determine what the doctrines of your church are, we shall appeal to the teachings of its recognized authorities, as set forth in your own church publications."
Vol. 13 No. 2 - Reasons Why. Shall We Hear Them? Vol. 13 No. 2 - Reasons Why. Shall We Hear Them?, 1905 (PDF)
by J. W. Peterson
18 page tract published by the RLDS Church. J. W. Peterson states, "Because the faith of Christ has always been opposed by certain classes, the Latter-day Saints are not above their Master in having their cause misrepresented by both pulpit and press, and themselves frowned upon by those who are ignorant of their faith. Because of this misrepresentation, many persons who have heard or read only the reverse side, often ask themselves the question: 'Is it right to go and hear them?' It is right and honorable to hear any one claiming to have the truth, that one may know for himself whether or not the claim is true and not be dependent on biased rumor."
Vol. 14 No. 1 Extra A - Twelve Reasons Why I Believe The Book Of Mormon, 1906 (PDF) Vol. 14 No. 1 Extra A - Twelve Reasons Why I Believe The Book Of Mormon, 1906 (PDF)
