The Bible (The Holy Scriptures): Joseph Smith, Jr. was inspired to correct the King James version of the Bible which is now known as The Holy Scriptures or the Inspired Version. It was first published by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1867.
The Book Of Mormon: The Book of Mormon was first published in 1830. It was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. from gold plates that he received from the angel Moroni. It contains scriptural and historical information about the ancient inhabitants of the North American continent from 2200 BC to 421 AD.
Doctrine And Covenants: Originally published in 1835, the Doctrine And Covenants contains revelation and prophecy. It is considered to be an open canon of scripture as revelations continue being received for the Church.
